Could custom orthotics help your child?
Cerebral Palsy (CP)
A neurological condition affecting muscle control and coordination, often causing spasticity, toe walking, abnormal gait patterns, poor balance, and lower limb alignment issues.
Spina Bifida
A congenital condition affecting the spinal cord that can lead to muscle weakness, reduced sensation, lower limb paralysis, and difficulties with standing and walking.
Charcot-Marie-Tooth
An inherited nerve disorder causing progressive muscle weakness, foot deformities, foot drop, balance difficulties, and an increased risk of trips and falls over time.
Idiopathic Toe Walking
A condition where children continue walking on their toes without an underlying medical cause, which may affect gait and cause tight calf muscles or Achilles tendon shortening.
Flexible Pes Planovalgus
A foot alignment problem where the arch collapses during weight-bearing, potentially causing foot pain, fatigue, poor posture, and altered walking mechanics over time.
Talipes Equinovarus (Clubfoot)
A congenital foot deformity causing the foot to turn inward and downward, affecting normal foot positioning, mobility, and walking ability if not properly managed early.

The AbilityMade difference
Did You Know?
“Research shows that many children do not wear their AFOs for the recommended amount of time, with studies reporting adherence rates below 50% in some populations. The reasons are complex, including comfort, fit, appearance, lifestyle demands, and whether the orthosis fits naturally into a child’s daily activities.”
